Nanning–Singapore Economic Corridor

The Nanning-Singapore Economic Corridor is an initiative in Southeast Asia, which would connect China, Vietnam, Laos, Cambodia, Thailand, Malaysia, and Singapore with modern road and rail links, and cross-border economic initiatives.

Transport

One of the first steps is the Nanning-Pingxiang High-Speed Line, a railway in Guangxi province in southern China, which would form the northern end of the corridor.[1] A 5000km Nanning-Singapore railway is planned.[2]

Development

The Corridor is planned to better connect neighbouring economies, and encourage development across the ASEAN–China Free Trade Area.[2]
